Wisconsin No Slip Floors offers a clear, water-based concrete, grout & masonry sealer that penetrates up to 6 inches. HOW IT WORKS: When the sealant comes in contact with alkali, (a natural ingredient in these materials) they form a gel that moves in all directions, filling the pores and any hairline cracks, chemically altering the alkali forever. The gel emulsifies oil, and other foreign matter, purging it to the top to be washed away, while sealing it from any further seepage. The gel, which now fills the pores, starts to turn hard. This hardening action reaches its maximum hardness in 90 days. The concrete is now sealed "glued" permanently from the inside, not just temporarily on the surface like other sealants, so it will not pit, crumble, crack, peel, chip or discolor with age.
